The Hong Kong Prize is an internationally acclaimed award presented to young writers of any nationality or background from any field of clinical practice or research. Cosponsored by the Hong Kong Academy of Medicine and Federation of British Industries, its winner receives both a book voucher and cash prize of HK$1,000. Submittals may cover any topic related to clinical practice and research including clinical studies, observational studies, epidemiological research studies, meta-analyses or reviews articles; case reports or letters to editors do not qualify for consideration for this prize.
Bank of China (Hong Kong) Limited annually awards the BOCHK SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY INNOVATION PRIZE as a science and technology innovation prize to recognize outstanding scientific research that drives transformation of R&D outcomes in Hong Kong. There are three categories for nomination: Life Science, Physical Science and Mathematics/Computer Science with up to five laureates nominated annually.
A panel of judges will select the finalists and winners. This process will occur in three waves: Southeast Asian residents first, mainland Chinese applicants next, then international applications. Applications were received between March 1 and June 1. Prizes will be distributed in October.
On May 17, the results of the Sovereign Asian Art Prize 2024 were unveiled at a gala dinner at Four Seasons Hotel. Sameen Agha from Pakistan won the Grand Prize with her sculpture A Home Is a Terrible Place to Love; Demet from Philippines won Public Vote Prize with PPE: Paint Palette Emulation. All auction proceeds will benefit SAF’s expressive arts programs for underprivileged children in Hong Kong.
