The SDY Prize Winner
The Sdy Prize recognizes short stories with “unusual, positive or amusing approaches to life”.
This award was first created in 1982 by the Australian Book Publishers Association and later administered by the University of Sydney. It’s named for Sydney writer Sylvia Sdy, an advocate for Aboriginal literacy and education. Stories must not exceed 2,000 words, while authors must be Australian citizens.
Viktor “sdy” Orudzhev has returned to European competition, joining NAVI on trial from MAD Lions after impressing as Team Spirit stand-in during BLAST Premier Spring Finals 2022 and helping NAVI win that event, collecting $200,000 first prize, a World Final berth and 4,000 BLAST Premier points.
At this tournament, Sdy made his best ever LAN performance ever! The Ukrainian rifler dominated Monte’s opponents – particularly during playoffs where he excelled. Monte beat Eternal Fire in the final and Sdy was named MVP by both HLTV and 1xBet!
Unfortunately, Monte’s impressive run didn’t last. After failing to pass the RMR at PGL Major Copenhagen 2024, he made the difficult decision to release Sdy – not entirely unexpected given how the roster began experiencing issues.
On February 26th it became public knowledge that Sdy refused to sign a new contract with Monte and is currently free agent – it is disappointing to witness such an exciting team collapse so quickly.
SDY is a dividend-focused fund, investing solely in companies that pay out and increase their dividends regularly. Although its expense ratio of 0.35% is significantly higher than SPYD which only charges 0.07%, keep in mind that SDY has more individual stocks in its portfolio.
SDY boasts an annual dividend return of 2.70% based on annual payments to shareholders, the most recent one made on 2025-03-26 for $0.82 and this fund is rated A by S&P Global Ratings – making sdy an excellent choice for investors seeking high dividend yield funds with promising prospects of expanding payouts in future years.
